It represents a passion for handcrafts. A love for creating with one's own hands. Colorful, modern knitwear designs made from comfortable materials.
We are Julia & Lilly, 24 and 22 years old, sisters, and creative for as long as we can remember. We spent our childhood sewing, crafting, and crocheting together, skills we learned from our great-grandmother, who was always a whiz at handicrafts.
Our Instagram account @lesfillesducoeur has been around since the end of 2018. Back then, it was all about hand-sewn scrunchies, which we later sold on Etsy. Since then, we've simply shared whatever creative projects we were currently creating on the account.
Crochet bags, sun hats and, since 2020, also knitting!
Using a knitting pattern and YouTube tutorials, Lilly taught herself to knit in 2020. Since then, there has hardly been a day when she didn't knit, and when Julia also got hooked, things really took off.
OUR DESIGNS
Our journey as designers began in 2023 with our bestseller "Cardiducoeur" .
Lilly had knitted the cardigan in the Freestyle style, and as the demand for the knitting pattern grew, we dared to write the instructions at the end of 2023.
Thanks to its simple design, the cardiducoeur is perfect for knitting beginners. Our second knitting pattern, also beginner-friendly, was released to accompany it:

Our designs are all knitted top-down and are known for classic cuts that stand out through striking colors or stripes.
ABOUT US
Julia studied online communication in Darmstadt and works as a talent manager. With her experience from her studies and job, she wears the "social media and communications hat" at Lesfillesducœur.
Lilly is in her third year of training to become a bespoke tailor in Darmstadt.
She usually knits freehand, designing the models and then writing the knitting instructions.
