stands for the passion for handicrafts. For the love of creating with one's own hands. For colorful, modern knit designs made from feel-good materials.
We are Julia & Lilly, sisters, 24 and 22 years old, and we've been creative for as long as we can remember. We spent our childhood sewing, crafting, or crocheting together – skills we learned from our great-grandmother, who was always a whiz at handwork.
Our Instagram account @lesfillesducoeur has been around since late 2018. Back then, everything revolved around handmade scrunchies, which we later sold on Etsy. From then on, we simply shared whatever creative projects we were most passionate about:
crocheted bags, sun hats, and since 2020, knitting!
With the help of a knitting pattern and YouTube tutorials, Lilly taught herself to knit in 2020. Since then, there has hardly been a day when she hasn't knitted, and when Julia also got hooked, everything took its course.
OUR DESIGNS
Our journey as designers began in 2023 with our bestseller "Cardiducoeur" .
Lilly had knitted the cardigan in the Freestyle style, and as the demand for the knitting pattern grew, we dared to write the instructions at the end of 2023.
Thanks to its simple design, the cardiducoeur is perfect for knitting beginners. Our second knitting pattern, also beginner-friendly, was released to accompany it:

Our designs are all knitted top-down and are known for classic cuts that stand out through striking colors or stripes.
ABOUT US
Julia studied Online Communication in Darmstadt and still works as a Talent Manager. With her experience from her studies and job, she is responsible for "Social Media and Communication" at Lesfillesducœur.
Lilly is in the third year of her apprenticeship as a tailor in Darmstadt.
She usually knits freehand, designs the models, and then writes the knitting instructions.
